As stated in a previous post big news to be announced:
Huge news for us…(click “more” to find out what)
On Saturday the 25th day of August…we will be picking up the newest member of our family.
Joshua Isaiah will be coming home.
Normally people have 9 months to prepare for a new arrival. We got 9 days….and the last 2 days are going to kill me with anticipation.
I only have one photo so far, but I will not be posting it. (HAHA) Be assured that there will not be a shortage of pictures soon enough. I will probably have to buy a new camera soon (hoo-ray for me) because I will probably wear this one out with in a week. (Just kidding Angela!!!)
We have been in the adoption process for quite some time, and this situation just dropped on our laps, just like that! I am excited to say the least…we are in a little bit of shock as how fast this is happening, but we couldn’t be more grateful.
God works in mysterious ways…and he never ceases to amaze me.
Joshua was born March 23, 2007 (same day as Angela!!!) His family is from Burundi:

Here are some quick facts of the country (from BBC News http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/country_profiles/1068873.stm )
Politics: Stability appears to be within reach after years of bloody conflict. The government and the last active rebel group agreed a ceasefire in September 2006
Economy: Half the population lives below the poverty line. Coffee and tea account for most of the foreign currency earnings
International: Relative peace after a 12-year ethnic-based civil war has been attributed partly to international mediation and support
Just so everyone knows we will be going in to a “lock down” mode for a short time to allow bonding to take place and to be focused on Josh. (His siblings call him “jee-jee”)
I don’t know what the future holds, but I am excited to find out!!!
Stay tuned for a new blog dedicated to family “stuff”. I will keep this blog going but after the new blog is up, I don’t know how much work I will spend on this one.

Wow! So awesome! And that is not a small 5 month old! “jee-jee” is so cute! Can’t wait for more news…where is he going during your work day? I want all the details, what about his siblings? Was he born in Africa or the US? I could go on and on so you will have to fill us in… and soon!!! Love you both and we will be praying for you all! Aunt CeCe!!!
